UDAF Soma Research Ethics Principles

These principles guide future research involving people. UDAF Soma does not claim to have an existing ethics committee. Project-specific review mechanisms will be developed or used where required.

• Voluntary informed participation and appropriate consent
• Data minimization and privacy
• Anonymization or pseudonymization where appropriate
• Withdrawal where applicable, with project-specific limits explained beforehand
• Special care with sensitive health information
• Disclosure of risks, funding and conflicts of interest
• Appropriate independent or institutional ethical review where required by the project, law or partner institution
• A wellness label does not justify experimenting on people without appropriate safeguards

Personal health data

Do not submit medical records, identifiable laboratory results, diagnoses, full health histories, genetic data or other sensitive health information through general forms. Any future project requiring health data must establish a separate project-specific data-management process.

A hypothesis may be tested, but must not be presented as fact before sufficient reproducible evidence exists. Publishing a hypothesis on UDAF Soma does not validate it.

UDAF Soma does not diagnose, prescribe medication or provide personalized treatment plans and is not an emergency service. Urgent health concerns should be addressed to qualified healthcare or appropriate emergency services, not this form.
