How UDAF Soma handles evidence

ESTABLISHED, EMERGING and EXPERIMENTAL are UDAF Soma editorial categories, not official NIH, WHO or FDA evidence grades.

ESTABLISHED

ESTABLISHED

Supported by strong, reproducible evidence, including accepted physiological mechanisms or relevant guidance. Scope and context still matter.

EMERGING

EMERGING

Plausible and partially supported, but evidence remains incomplete, heterogeneous or context-dependent. Stronger replication or better studies are needed.

EXPERIMENTAL

EXPERIMENTAL

An early hypothesis, exploratory method, author model or non-mainstream claim with insufficient evidence to establish efficacy. It must be framed for testing, not marketed as treatment.

Individual claims still need context

An article-level label does not automatically apply to every statement. Where needed, distinguish an established fact, supported interpretation, preliminary finding, hypothesis, author model and practical observation. Explain the sources and limitations of each consequential claim.
